Syngenta launches fungicide Revus Top in Argentina

In a new technical journey organized by Syngenta for potato producers in Argentina, the company launched Revus Top (mandipropamid + difenoconazole), which is a new fungicide that controls early blight and late blight, among other diseases.

Early blight (Alternaria solani) and late blight (Phytophthora infestans) are diseases that severely affect potato cultivation in Argentina. These types of fungi destroy leaves and stems of crops and are favored by humid conditions. The blights are easily recognized because they generate black and silver spots on the leaves and if not treated on time, can affect the crop completely.

Revus Top is a foliar fungicide with translaminar action to control potato diseases that combine two active ingredients: mandipropamid and difenoconazole. Difenoconazole is a systemic fungicide, belonging to the triazole group. It has a preventive and healing action against a wide range of diseases, local systemic properties, and great translaminar capacity.

Mandipropamid is a foliar fungicide for the control of Oomycetes in potato crops and is especially indicated for the late blight in potatoes and protects from the disease for a period of 7 to 14 days after each application. In addition, the plants absorb the product rapidly, assure translaminar activity, have activity spore germination and inhibit the growth of fungi mycelium during the incubation period. Additionally, it has a longer residual action than contact fungicides and is introduced into the plant tissue within a few hours after being applied, which is why subsequent rains do not wash the product.

Revus Top has a grace period of seven days and has no harmful effects over beneficial insects or bees. It is a product with proven effectiveness that is used in different potato producing countries in Latin America.
